I was playing Call of Duty during a lightning storm on my 3 month old PS4 Slim and there was a quick 1 second power flicker and now my PS4 Slim wont even turn on and i cant even get my disc out of the system. I have tried different outlets and a different power cord and still nothing works, is there any fix to this

Hi, Power outages or surges can sometimes damage the power supplies in electronic devices and perhaps even more if they were in use at the time. You would need to open the console up and inspect the PSU for any damage to the components. Given that your console is so new, opening it up would most probably void the manufacturer’s warranty. Just something to consider. Also damage which occurred due to an outage or storm etc will most probably not be covered by the warranty either as they would say that it was beyond their control. Check you household insurance policy to see if this problem may be covered by it. If you decide to open the console and to check the PSU etc, here’s the ifixit PlayStation 4 Slim Repair guides that may be of some help. If doing the repair yourself seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional electronics repair service and ask for a quote to repair the console. Also it is always better that electronic devices, appliances etc, be connected to the mains power supply via a quality surge protector so in the event of an outage or storm etc, hopefully only they will be damaged and have to be replaced or reset and not what is connected to them.
