So my kids’ PS4 Pro sounds like a jet about to take off, so i thought i’d be the hero and take it apart and de-dust it. I did, i put it back together and now it beeps once and won’t turn on. The only two things I can think of is one of the thermal pads is missing on the metal tray (with the cu heat-sync) and the thermal paste didn’t look too good. I have neither at hand so i figured i’d just put it all back together clean and replace both at a later date. The other possibility is i damaged the power cable that connects the PSU to the MB. What do you guys think? would poor heat transfer IMMEDIATELY cause it to shut down? a missing thermal pad or bad paste? This is frustrating me. Pretty confident i put it all back together correctly. Any way to check the power supply with a voltmeter without killing myself? I tried the solutions on the main topic for “beeps once and turns off” here.. no luck

Check all the cable connections and make sure if you installed the power supply properly and make sure the power supply cable which connects to the motherboard is not damaged or caught in a metal piece. Also there are two pins which are inserted in the power supply as you put it in. Make sure those two pins are not bent and connects properly with the power supply socket.
