Hello. A customer came in earlier with a PS4 because he had some connectivity issues with the HDMI port which is actually a very common issue on the PS4. So i went ahead and told him that the HDMI port probably have to be changed. I opened the PS4 up and checked the HDMI port. Everything looked fine so i went ahead and tested it on our TV. When i plugged in the power the PS4 starts making what seems to be random beeping sounds. I then opened it up again and checked all the wires and connectors to see if i have missed something. Everything was fine so i put it back together and tested again. Same thing. Immediately after i plug in the power cord the beeping sounds start.
I have searched google and ifixit and have not come across anyone experiencing this exact issue. I found many people who had similar issues but as far as i could tell they never resolved it. I have attached a 2 minute video link where you can see and hear whats happening. https://photos.app.goo.gl/cRJ9UyiWM8dFCK… Questions: Did i work in an anti static environment: Yes at all times. Did i use anti static wrist bands connected to a grounding point: Yes at all times. Did i check and clean all the connectors involved: Yes. Did i make any physical changes to the PS4: Other then opening it and putting it back together, no. Does it turn on: No. Does it eject disk: No. Does the controller connect: No. Did i try taking out the HDD and turn it on: Yes. Is any of the lights on: No. Hopefully someone has experience with this issue and knows what it is, how to fix it and how to prevent it!
Could be a psu or apu issue
