Chosen Solution
Along with the connector breaking off the motherboard, I believe it took one of the pads with it. I have never had to repair a pad before and have looked up some guides on it, but none have been quite detailed enough. I am rather new to soldering, so even explaining some of the basic soldering terms to me might be helpful. As for the other 3 pads, I believe I can just solder the connector back to those points. If the copper pads came off, then the board will have to be replaced.
how do i know whether or not they have come off? (copper pads)
