Sarina Simone I am old so I get confused easy. “Switching the motherboard when the drive switched” Does that mean you changed your motherboard or your dive? We really need to know what you did so we can follow up with what you already have tried. The laser assembly of your drive actually has multiple lasers for the different types of disks. If it plays one type but not the other it is most likely a bad laser assembly in your drive. It is replaceable. If you change the complete drive then you must be aware that the optical drive is “married” to the motherboard. You must remove the daughter board on the original optical drive assembly and install it on the drive you intend to install in your PS4. PlayStation 4 Optical Drive Replacement
If BD movies work, then there is unlikely any issues with the hardware itself. What’s the error message when the system rejects a game disc?
I found with mine strip it down to the disk reader and give the lense a wipe with a lcd cleaner worked for me
Hey man I have this problem as well and we have basically tried every solution too. Have you tried swapping any external hard drives and re downloading al the games?
Mine wont play bd movies either so thinking the motor driver ic is faulty
