i recently got a ylod :( its the Fat 60gb model the problem is not with the psu, the fan starts up fine and then there is yellow flash and then a red blinking light It probably occurred due to a lot of dust buildup, which i removed after the fault i have been scouring the net for possible causes and fixes but can’t get anything specific Please help! How can i find the exact cause of the problem? What types of fixes are possible? And What i really want to know if there is a permanent fix possible? Any Suggestions?
If i fix it with this method, will it be permanent or temporary?
Get a heatgun and reflow the GPU and CPU SLOWLY, leave the motherboard on a stable surface to cool, the board can’t move because the solder is hot and if it does, you may be reballing it If that doesn’t work, it may be worthwile to try again Here is the guide: Yellow Light of Death Repair This is temporary, a reball would be better, but it is definitely more difficult, and if you use lead solder balls, this will not happen as easily(whatever braindead child at the EPA should of known better, yet they mandate lead-free solder, should of asked us first if leaded is better!)

Well I suggest you hold the ON button until it beeps 2 times but it wont work the first time try it again then your done :D hopefully it will work and depends what console you have its easier if you have the $@$* ps3 but try this.
