Hi all, My PS3 Slim wouldn’t read/eject discs properly until i rebooted the PS3 or it would make a loud noise whenever reading a disc. I decided to open the PS3 bueray drive, take out the disc that was already there , clean the optical laser lens (carefully) and then manually reassembled everything carefully (cords connected etc) Now when i turn on the PS3 the blueray drive is extremely loud like a fax printing machine and doesn’t accept any discs at all. Should i replace the optical laser lens or do i need to re config the disc gears?
Completely replace the disk drive. I had a broken disk drive on the ps3 and did everything to fix it. May not be the same case but it’s much easier to just replace it. Pretty cheap.
