Chosen Solution
I was checking my brother’s PS2 slim and it wouldn’t turn on. The standby light was on when you plugged it in, but when you try turning on it will flip from green back to red and there is no sign of activity. I did some searching and most sources said it could be something with the motherboard. I disassembled the case and a piece fell out.
