I recently replaced the LCD on a 5S and seperated the prox sensor solder from the rest of it. I replaced the entire cable and grounded under the tape to the LCD shield. The earpiece speaker works but not the prox. I didn’t have the passcode so I couldn’t test the front facing camera. Any idea as to why the prox doesn’t work?
Did you make sure that the spacer for the proximity sensor is in place? If it is missing, the sensor may end up in a position that causes it to not function correctly. Good luck!
