When i connect hdmi to my phillips 47 inch smart tv, the message is “ Your HDMI may be faulty. Make sure your hdmi is less than 5m”. I have tried different types of hdmi but to no avail. What do i do? Pls help me.

@cobbyjack …the message you are receiving is from the hdmi controller. it is saying that it is reading a cable that is longer than 5m, which in this case will not pick up signal. this can be a faulty hdmi cable, port or chip. if you have exhausted trading cables and devices, your remedy will be to replace the hdmi port or the chip. i would do both. before doing this however, i would take a voltage reading from the main board 5v circuit to ensure the 5v is there. if it is, change the controller chip and port. if not, troubleshoot the power supply first. if further assistance is needed, please list the board number off of you main board and power supply along with a good picture of each. if you do not want to go this route and just want to replace a board, the main board should solve it so long as you verify there is 5v coming from powersupply. good luck
