Chosen Solution
I have Thunderbird on my Windows XP machine & on my Macbook Air, all connected to my gmail IMAP account. Both work perfectly in sync. I have now upgraded another PC to Windows 7, installed Thunderbird, copied my profile across,but it won’t bring in my emails from the gmail account. All the settings copied across OK and are the same as on my other two computers. Is there something obvious I haven’t done, maybe?
I will be helping someone who has XP, and will be going to Win 7 I have just started Googling to see if one can backup everything in Thunderbird, and ‘restore’ it into their new Win 7 I came across this that is 2010 to 2012, but it may be of interest to you - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic….
