I’d like to print on both clear and frosted film but so far I’ve been unsuccessful. I’m using an Epson SureColor P6000 wide-format printer. Does anyone have any tips or sugestions?

Most Jet ink printers (Epson in this case) use a water soluble ink which won’t adhere to the plastic film. You’ll need a color laser printer which is also called a ‘Dry Toner’ printer. In addition, the fusing roller of the laser printer can melt the plastic if you don’t use the correct type of plastic and the way a laser printer works can also fail with plastic if it can’t hold an electrostatic charge for the toner to stick to. Here’s one source of the needed plastic sheets you’ll need for printing on a dry toner printer: Plastic Films for Toner Printers Staples and other office supply houses also carry the needed sheets. You might find going to a local copy center with a USB thumb drive with your stuff that has a laser printer the cheapest way to go here.
