Printer and scanner Epson Stylus Photo RX620. Scanner Unit works fine. Does not work printer. There is an error message in the little screen, when try print : “Printer error occurred. Please see documentation” From the software in laptop i can read the message : “Remove any object from inside the printer”. I can see that, after press button for printing, the print head moves to the most left side, stops for a second and then come back to the right and then comes the error message. The problem does not have to do with the related software in laptop, because i use the printer without connected it to the laptop. I just connect it (with the laptop) after the problem occurred, to see the troubleshoot documentation. I disassemble it. It was a nightmare. I try clean. I did my best. I clean print head and everything i could. But did not solve the problem. I am not sure i can disassemble it again. Also i am afraid not to cause any damage to it. I am not a professional. I already made a small damage but i fix it. I bought my printer before many years. It is a grate machine, special for photos. I took care of it and it is in excellent condition. It is like new. I do not want to give for the trash. Any help appreciate. Thanks before i tried to fix it i had given it to the service. They told me that maybe there is a problem with electronics, and they cannot fix it and because there is not spare parts for this old printer there is nothing ,for anybody, to do . Also said that may be the PF motor, or a sensor. I believe that maybe one of the sensors get dirty of ink, but i do not know where are located. I already read a question , here, for the same problem with an Epson Printer NX510, but no answer solve my problem.
Unfortunately, spareparts for this printer has been discontinued. But. Behind the printhead, there is a thin clear cable. If you light on it. Is there any dirt, smear etc. on it? Then clean it very causiously. It might be one of the most fragile components in the printer. If you have had the print head off of the tubes, without access to the service program, then I might fear that you are completely out of luck. The pressure has been releaved from the ink system, which has to be rebuilt again. And that cost a ton of ink to do so, without any certanty for it to bee a solution. Best of luck! If you have a error code other than : “Printer error occurred. Please see documentation” From the software in laptop i can read the message : “Remove any object from inside the printer”.
