Printer does not communicate with the Mac. Says there is an Error. The Printer Utility Software presents a dialog box that says: “Error code B200 has occurred. Contact the service center.” Where can I take or send the printer for service?
2018- I had the same problem after trying to print from another room using my iPad. I tried several times and I think I had my printer confused. I was already picking out a new printer when I tried what someone said to do…..with printer turned off I moved printer head to the center with my fingers, turned printer on, when I saw the ink cartilages move half way to the left I closed the cartilages cover and put the top down quickly. I had to do this 2 or 3 times. It now works perfect. Thanks for the help.
oscarsmom222 that will depend on where you are located. A Canon autorized service center should pop up by using your favorite online search engine. I’d try so simple things first. Like this one from Canon:
- Open the cover of the printer.
- Remove all ink tanks from the printer.
- Lift up the gray locking lever on the side of the ink tank holder.
- Gently remove the print head from the carriage unit.
- Place the print head back in and lock the lever down.
- Place all of the ink tanks back in the printer.
- Close the cover and turn the printer off.
- Unplug the power from the printer. Leave the power unplugged for about 5-10 minutes.
- Plug the power back in and turn the printer on. Check on here for a few more ideas.
