Hello! So I have a Yamaha PSR E403 Keyboard that I use for music school, and I’ve noticed now that it does this thing under very specific circumstances where when I press certain keys it adds extra ones very loudly, regardless of how hard I press the ones I’m playing. The one that I’ve specifically noticed it with is that when playing F, A#, and C together it adds the B key even though it isn’t being pressed. If I press two of the keys together instead of three it doesn’t do that, only when I add the third key in the chord does the B sound very loudly over the top of it. This happens in all of the octaves on the keyboard so it doesn’t seem to be a sticking key issue, and I haven’t noticed it yet with any other note combinations. Regardless this is annoying obviously, and kind of worrying for me as I don’t have the money to purchase a new keyboard at this time. Is this some kind of setting I’ve accidentally turned on, or is there something I can do to fix this?
Is autoaccompaniment turned on? If you haven’t got the manual anymore it’s here: https://th.yamaha.com/files/download/oth… In it among other things, is how to do a reset, I suspect you will want to try that as a last resort as it will delete your saved songs preferences and so on. If this doesn’t help. Do not select it as an answer so someone else will be more likely to give you a ‘correct’ one.
