Hi all, I have an iPhone 6S Plus that seems to be completely dead, not booting with/without display, nothing on pc. I’ve tryied a battery swap but that didn’t work, so I digged a bit more. I took the logic board off and powering it via USB, the values that I found are: PP5V0_USB = present at 5.14V (TP01)PP_BATT_VCC = not present, at least not at the battery connector. At this point, I suppose that the dock connector is fine (because the TP01 point gives me that voltage which I think it’s normal). Still, on the battery connector I have 0V, not even 0,01V (that would mean that the tristar need to be replaced, as far as I understood). Now, I could replace the tristar, but I don’t want to do it unless it’s the very last thing to do (working on a board if it is not needed is just plain stupid). What else could I check? What could I do more before actually replacing the tristar ic?
I would start by checking if you have a short on VCC_Main and i would also check if you have short on AVDDH line and 3V and 5V nand. History of device would help for further diagnostics. Cheers.
