Watching tv on my LG 47LA8600 and the screen just went black have tried turning off and on and unplugging audio still works fine I can change channels and hear different audio but no pictures through cable component or hdmi.
Hi, With the TV on with audio but no video, shine a torch at an angle close to the screen to check for images on the screen. They will be very faint if they are there at all so trying this in a darkened room may help to see them. If you can detect images then there is a backlight problem. Here’s the No video/Normal audio troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual for the TV, that may help Here’s the power board ref A2 and ref A4 as shown in the flowchart. Hopefully a start.
