Chosen Solution
Hello everyone, I recently got an Xbox One out of order, and after analysis, I realized that the xbox had no problem, but that the problem came from the power supply of the Xbox One. When the power supply is plugged in, it makes an orange light, and once plugged in the console this light goes out. Everything works perfectly with another power supply. So I decided to open the power supply to see if it was a capacitor that had bulged and should be replaced. But here is the inside:
At first sight, no capacitor seems to be blown. But as you can see on the first picture, the other side of the case has turned brown, as if it had burned. I have no idea where the problem can come from, or what I should do now. Do you have any advice? Thanks in advance,Delfyr
@delfyr I would remove the complete power supply from the plastic case and evaluate the parts and solder points on the bottom as well. Since there are no schematics it’ll be difficult to troubleshoot. You are right that the one transformer (presumably) looks like it may have over heated. I would get a new power supply and try to repair the broken one later, as schematics or more information becomes available.
So you may have to replace the motor and or the those round things that look like battiers. That may be what they are but i cant really seel these pictures on my cell phone. Also, try replacing the fan as well.
