I have a Phillips Model number 42pfl3603d/27, the back light was now working so I changed the board. Now the tv works except at random it will turn off then back on and off. Sometimes will stay on for 5 minutes then turn off and back on and off again. Other times it may stay on for 2-3 seconds and turn off and back on then back off. There is a clicking noise coming from the circled area in the picture. Any ideas what is going on?
@b23norris “back light was now working so I changed the board.’ let us know which board you replaced. The power board or the main board. It is actually the mainboard that tells the power board to turn on. We’d have to get a closer look under the heatsink. Looks like eitehr a couple of diodes or MOSFETs under there. Also, let us know what the exact board number of the power supply is. I can see that it is a Delta but need more information. Also, Philips loves to deal with chassis numbers instead of model. See if your chassis is listed (something like a LC8.1U etc.,) somewhere on your TV
