yesterday, my tv started bugging and it had a bunch of green pixel sized dots all over the screen, later it kept shutting off and on and wouldnt turn on at all if i plugged in the hdmi cable. now the power button just keeps blinking and the menu says unavailable. the model is UN32EH5000F. ps i had a kitchen fire 8 weeks ago, though it was working fine until yesterday since it was only exposed to smoke.
cat manya Samsung really does not have post blink codes. From what you are saying it comes on but does get “stuck” somewhere. What menu do you see that says unavailable? Disconnect all input sources. Disconnect the power to the TV. Hold the power button depressed for 15-30 sec. Plug the TV back in and connect only one input source. Do not use HDMI at first. Try Coax or Composite inputs. Then turn it on and see what happens. Let us know. It is possible that this is a main board issue but could also be related to your HDMI cable/ input. Work through all the different inputs. I am considering that there maybe network issues as well and that the unavailable notification originates from the network connection. Smoke damage really should not have a role in this but it could be that your boards are overheating or components shortening out due to soiling/soot etc.. To determine that you would have to remove the back from your TV and take a good look at all your boards. Post some good pictures of what you see with your question. That may allow us to assist you further with any inspection etc. Adding images to an existing question
