I was trying to replace my digitizer when I accidentally scratched the battery, I think I had a battery blocker in but I forgot because I took it in and out a few times. When I tried to test it, nothing came up on the LCD, I’m not certain if it’s the battery or lcd but plugging it in does nothing either. Is there a fix or am I screwed? Help!

Did the battery spark or smoke when you scratched it? Have you tested the battery to see if it has voltage and how much, with a volt meter? Update (05/30/2020) First check the battery and see if it has charge. I’m sure you can probably borrow a volt meter. I would try the lcd and verify that it’s damaged. The iPad is only worth around 100 to 150 dollars depending on where you are buying it used. If you don’t have the skill or don’t want to take a chance I would buy another iPad and sell it for parts or a one that needs repaired. If you decide to repair it first verify that the battery is charged then hook up up the lcd and digitizer and see if you need a new lcd.
