My PlayStation is struggling to read any disc, it trys to read the disc then says every disc is an unrecognized disc. Ive checked the lazer, fan everything is fine, any suggestions?
Can you hear the disc spinning up? if so this sounds very much like a new laser to me - you need the 850pha model laser - its the same one used in the PS3 super slim. Buy the super slim laser assembly which is a lot cheaper than the PS4 assembly and take out the laser…. follow this guide to access the optical drive, accessing the laser is as disconnecting the ribbon cables and removing the top cover of the optical drive. the laser assembly is held in by four screws that are easily accessible and obvious once you’ve opened it up.
