Hello, Since there was a problem with my display and I had to order a new one for a considerable price, I was thinking about how to avoid the problem with the new panel when it arrives. I read a lot of articles and complaints about problems with the T-CON board, as well as the flex cable error, so I wondered if this could be prevented. I’m considering that instead of the classic connection, I will order an extension cable, which is used for testing displays, and stick the T-CON board to the lid of the display from the opposite side in the custom 3D printed case. It would be placed outside the high temperature area and the flex cables stabilized firmly so that they would not be bending. Only the replaceable extension cord would bend and stretch. What do you think about it? could this extend the life of the display assembly? Thank you

Send your resume to Apple! Marvelous idea! But, then you wouldn’t have the sleek thin system Apple designed. I wish they had listened years ago when we tried to aim them to a better design, sadly they didn’t listen ;-{ I’m still waiting for the REAL PRO’s MacBook Pro to arrive. Maybe with the new Apple Silicon chips the systems heat issue is resolved so having the T-CON within the case won’t be an issue. Sadly, you can’t really do this as you face a couple of sizable hurdles with the pathway and the integrity of the signals, and lastly still have a fragile cable running between the case and the lid.
