Phone got wet and now it wont turn on the red charging light comes on

My Boy Wilson , Stop charging or powering up your device until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the phone. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the phone from the water damage as that could be your problem. My Boy Wilson that is a very broad question and we won’t get you a specific answer. I recommend that you start with the basic trouble shooting just like you would for any submerged phone. The very first thing you want to do is to not try to restart the phone. This may further damage your phone. You also do not want to try to charge it any further. The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassembling your phone will present a bit of a challenge since it is a slightly off-brand phone there are no good guides out yet. See if this video will help. Once it is disassembled, you do need to clean it properly. You will need high grade isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Use this guide to see how to clean it. Even so it was written for an Apple iPhone 3G all the points are still pertinent to your phone. While you are cleaning it, check for any broken, missing or burned looking components. When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Once all this is done, reassemble your phone and reevaluate.

Don’t try to turn your phone on as you might damage it. You can try disassembling it like other people said, but, I had the same problem and rice worked for me. Try getting any kind or rice and putting it in a jar. Then stick your phone in with the rice and leave it there for at least 24 hours. Leaving it for longer works better though. Then try turning on your phone again. Good luck!
