I replaced my housing on the iphone 5. Every thing went well except i couldnt get the power button working properly. After finishing up, my phone wont turn on. What could it be? I also accidently got a tiny hole in the battery. Could that be it? Or maybe a screw in the wrong place idk
First….DO NOT POWER ON OR CHARGE THAT PHONE! A hole in the battery is extremely dangerous. Lipo batteries will literally shoot fire out of that tiny hole. While it sounds cool, flames shooting out of your phone is a very bad thing. Replace that battery before you connect it to a charger or turn it on. Consider it a blessing that your phone won’t power on. Your phone most likely won’t power on because the power flex is damaged. Its a very common thing on iPhone 5 and extremely common when you tear the phone down. Replace the flex and make sure the power button is lined up right. I start with the power button on those because its the hardest part to get lined up, then the volume, then the rest.
