Chosen Solution
I replaced the motherboard on my google pixel 2 XL. When I plug it into the charger, the battery charging screen shows up, but if I press the power button the screen just goes black. If I unplug the charger, the battery charging screen appears again. I’ve tried all kinds of rebooting. Not sure what the problem may be.
You can try to take it back to the place you got it and tell them that the new mother board isn’t workingYou can try going to Google Help
