Hi any advice please , battery has been replaced now it will not recognise the passcode when typed in just goes straight back to locked screen. Have tried to connect to itunes so i can do a restore/reset (held down the buttons till itunes promt appears) but itunes says theres an error during restore and cant update iphone :-(
Hello Chris. Does your iPhone have the fingerprint hardware, if so then you may have to visit the apple store techs for assistance. Apple updated their software which locks out an phone if original hardware is replace by a third party. I remember reading an article by ifixit, they replaced the home button from an iPhone 6 with another iPhone 6 home button which shut down the phone. The phone recovered when installing the original home button. If you still have the original battery you may want to reinstall it then bite the bullet with Apple.
