I replaced the phone screen on my iPhone 8 Plus and tested it before placing it into the body of the phone. The phone reacts to touch until it is clicked into the bottom of the phone then immediately looses response to any input. Any suggestions?
There could be a problem with the ribbon cables when the device is closed, they could possibly be getting pinched when the display is put back in, which would disrupt the touch.
After you put in in you said it doesn’t work. If you take it back out will it work again? If yes you’r probably pinching a ribbon cable and just put them is differently. If it doesn’t work anymore you must have broken the screen and you would need to buy a new one.
