So up until last friday my phone was working perfectly however when I went to use it the next day it seemed like it had died however when I plugged it in, it just made a quiet humming noise and doesn’t respond to any button inputs. I tried force resetting but nothing works. Is something internally damaged or would I need it looked at to see what’s wrong?
It is possible that if everything was working fine the day before then maybe the problem is with the screen. If you have had it for a long time and maybe dropped it a few times it is highly possible that the LCD cable (display data connector) has become dislodged from the logic board. If that’s the issue all you have to do is open up the phone and reconnect the cable. However it could also be something more serious like the cable getting cut or the connection broken, sometimes this issue could be related to battery as well. So i would suggest opening it up and crossing off different problems that could have caused the issue. Or have a professional look at it. I am not too sure what could cause the humming noise but i’m 99% sure that the two problems are correlated and fixing one issue will fix the other.
