My iPhone was acting weird today, so I did what I usually do and shut it off for a moment, but as I was turning it back on, it shut itself off again. I’ve tried turning it on 30+ times and the result is always the same; the white screen with the black apple logo shows for a few seconds, then the screen goes black as it shuts itself off. Does anyone know if there’s a way I can fix this, or how much it might cost to have it fixed at a cellphone store? I currently don’t have any interest in getting a new phone and would rather keep this one if I can. Some background info: my phone is 3 years old, has a non-functional home button, has been dropped enough times that I’ve had to replace the screen twice, and had around 83% battery life when I turned it off.
iPhone in boot loop is one of two things- (1) failure of battery (2) failure of main switching voltage viathe Tristar (U2) to switch to main or a short on Main or Battery. if a replacement battery doe’s not solve the problem then the Tristar switch will as you explanation gives the cause.
