My smartphone stopped working after i had charged it to 100% capacity overnight. The next morning i was still able to use the phone, but i noticed it stopped working after class. The battery is still fine (i checked it with a multimeter). Maybe a broken powerswich? There is no red indicator light or a charging iconon the screen (Was just replaced) while trying to charge the smartphone. Maybe a bad charging circuit?

Paul Streck  sure could be a failed charging circuit. The very first thing that you do want to rule out is the battery. You cannot check a battery with a multimeter since it may show proper voltage but can fail under load. Replace the battery and re-evaluate. Of course, you also want to make sure that your charger works properly as well as your charging cable.

If you know how to open the phone, try unplugging the battery and pressing the power button for 1 minute to drain any excess power in the device that may be causing this.
