After installing a new battery my iphone5 will not light up. it has a very dim backlight but it seems to be working. It can play music.
Try a reset hold down the home button and then the power button until the icon comes on. Did your power down the phone first? Sounds like a black light fuse is out, if so it’s going to need micro soldering skills
