I am trying to charge an iPhone that hasn’t been touched in months and it only shows a red battery sign on black screen. I’ve tried everything, even the dryer method. Is the battery not functional or is there anything else I can try? Thank you

The battery went bad after not being charged for months. A simple battery replacement should bring the phone back too life. You can also just try leaving it too charge and hopefully it stores enough power to get the phone on. But the best option is too just replace the battery

Did you try a different charging cable? It could possibly have a bad battery, a bad charging port or a bad tristar ic. I would first try a different charging cable. Next try a different battery that you know is charged. If it turns on but won’t charge it probably has a bad tristar ic. Let me know if the cable or battery work. You can go to a local repair shop and have them test the tristar ic to verify if it’s good.
