My iPhone bought on November 2017 has been getting extremely hot for the past 9 months and losing charge very rapidly. Battery was changed through Apple on December 2018 and it’s health is currently at 92%. Is this solely a battery issue or something else?

Yes, for now you definitely want to replace the battery. Not sure why you have been waiting 9 mth for this. Take it to Apple and have them replace the battery once more since they already tried it or do it yourself if you are up to it. iPhone SE Battery Replacement
