I have an iPhone 6S with a lot of problems I guess… I can’t take any pictures or videos on camera app but in Snapchat I can take pictures. Still can’t record any video in Snapchat. I have an problem with microphone also. I can’t hear caller and they can’t neither. I think the main problem is microphone. Because the camera app is trying to take picture with live and therefore it freezes. Second problem is when someone is calling me and I’m accepting the call the phone keeps vibrating. When I try to take the call to speakers I can’t hear anything but my speaker works normal.
I don’t know the phones history on why and when these problems started. You need to rule out faulty parts. I had an iPhone X come in with similar problems this week and it turned out to be the mute button. It was also vibrating on calls with no sound. · Disconnect the power flex connector as this has the mute circuit on it and try the camera app and calls. You can start the phone by connecting the charging cable. · Disconnect the front facing camera assembly and see if the rear camera can record video if it does you will need to replace that assembly. · Disconnect the rear camera connector and try recording a video with the front camera. If none of the above has helped than you probably have a board problem. But I think it might a faulty mute button.
