Hi, hope you’re well. I’m contacting you regarding my phone that I recently broke. A weight fell on it causing it to crack the screen, half of the displa still worked with touch but there was a temperature message on it, so I contacted apple and they told me to update it via a mac book which I done, but now it is stuck on the apple logo. I’ve got a lot of data in the phone which is not backed up, so I was wondering whether u know any fix for this.
You have a couple of options 1. Send it to a reputable repairer to retrieve your data. 2. Attempt the repair yourself by ruling out a parts issue. The easiest way to do this is to transfer the logic board into a known good housing. This will completely rule out a parts issue. Unfortunately this is not usually practical for most individuals so you could try the following. · Replace the screen as if you updated the phone you will need to enter passcodes so you will need the whole screen to be operatable. · Start disconnecting one flex at a time and try to boot starting with the top flex assembly. If it doesn’t boot after this you will need to · Replace the battery. · Replace the lightning connector assembly. If the phone still doesn’t boot you will have a board level problem that will need someone experienced to find the faulty component.
