I replaced my screen on iphone 4 and everything worked great when I turned it on and stuff but when I got a call I could hear them but they couldn’t hear me. What did I do wrong to make that happen? and what part would control that in the back?
It could be that your microphone at the bottom of the phone has a bad connection. Check all your connections at the bottom near the home button assembly and ringer speaker.
Their is a small ear speaker that the main board lies on and makes contact with two thin metal prongs. During instillation of your screen the prongs could have been bent, broken or just not made a good connection. Check it out, the speaker lies directly behind the front ear mesh screen. Replacement shouldn’t be to difficult or expensive. namaste
