Chosen Solution
My pc suddenly stopped turning on the other day. The psu was replaced about a month ago and its plugged into a surge protector. Before dying, it would occasionally turn off again during start up (infrequently and irregularly) then the other day it just wouldn’t turn on. Pressing the power button and even directly jumping the power button input prongs elicits no response. Motherboard light is on.
@juls19any we would need more details on the motherboard and the PSU. Make and model would be good. First try and remove the RAM to see if that solves it. Next check your PSU to ensure it is working when disconnected. Let us know what else have you already checked. The light on the motherboard probably only shows that your MoBo gets power but not that it is working. A bad processor, bad memory and other board damage can prevent your computer from starting up.
