Hi there everyone I am having a problem with my secondary pc. Everything was working fine but after a normal restart the pc did not show any display, I waited a while but still no display but the pc fans spun alright. I checked the monitor first it was working fine I tested it with laptop. This has happened with me before but a static discharge and cmos reset fixed it this time it made no change. I then referred to google, youtube and different forums but all were same and the steps had been done before. I had an extra new working ram it still did not work. But after many restarts and cmos resets it finally turned on the desktop was working fine then when I shut it off it did not turn on. Again the same problem and same steps it turned on after a few days after that it functioned normally like it was shutting down it no prob and turning back on again. But one day it stopped working again so sometimes it turns on and sometimes doesnt. I looked in other forums but they repeated the same steps which I have already done. So pls help me! The specs of my PC are:- Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-B75M-S Processor - i5 3470 Ram - single stick ddr3 1666mhz 8gb PSU - local 500w Gpu - Intel HD 2500 Storage - 1tb WD hard drive and Kingston 240gb ssd What I have tried:- Reseating everythingReplacing cmosReplacing ramReplacing processorReseting cmos
Hi @hecker , Try connecting a system speaker (example only) to check for any POST beep error codes on startup. See p.10 item #12 of the motherboard user manual for the location. Also check the PSU voltages with a DMM, using the paperclip test to make sure that the PSU is OK.
