Hi @killer19ak , Just for the record @jayeff is quite correct about the cheaper UPS’s and “clean” power. Read on. To quote “A double-conversion (online) UPS provides consistent, clean and near perfect power regardless of the condition of incoming power. This UPS converts incoming AC power to DC, and then back to AC. UPS systems with this technology operate on isolated DC power 100 percent of the time and have a zero transfer time because they never need to switch to DC power. Double-conversion UPS systems are designed to protect mission-critical IT equipment, data center installations, high-end servers, large telecom installations and storage applications, and advanced network equipment from damage caused by a power blackout, voltage sag, voltage surge, over voltage, voltage spike, frequency noise, frequency variation, or harmonic distortion.” What you are refering to are consumer UPS which DO NOT clean power. Hope this helps.

Hi @killer19ak When the PC starts but no display I’m wondering if it is even passing POST (Power On Self Test) the first time but does on subsequent times. Try connecting a system speaker (example only) to the speaker header pins on the F_Panel connector on the motherboard (see p.15 and p.12 Item #8 of the user manual for pins and location) just to check if there are any beep error codes Also I realize that it is a relatively new motherboard but check if the voltage of the coin cell battery on the motherboard is OK and that it is securely inserted into the holder. This is the CMOS battery and it maintains the BIOS settings when the PC is turned off. Sometimes if the voltage is low (usually <2.5V DC) the BIOS can become corrupted preventing a normal start.

My guess, the HDD is failing. Sometimes it can’t read it and just stops. A reboot restarts it and it reads. When it starts, open a cmd prompt and run CHKDSK C: It will run without restart and tell you if it found errors. If it did, rerun CHKDSK C: /f You will have to reboot and it will try to fix the errors. If it does not tell you it has errors on the first run, then it may be an MBR issue which is a little more complicated to fix. It would be wise to first make sure you have your stuff backed up. I would also recommend getting Macrium Reflect Free and creating an image of your drive. Depending on the outcome, it may be time to consider replacing the HDD>
