Greetings, I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX. My passenger side window would intermittently stop working. Than occasionally it would stop working and go up and down. When this happens neither the drivers side or passenger side switch will operate it. Now it wont do either and is stuck half way down. What do you think is the problem? Ive read many conflict reviews from the Main switch located in the drivers side switch control or the motor/ regulator? I dont think it is the relay because it only effects that one 1 and it was intermittently getting worse. Also I didnt notice it moving any slower or making noises when it would work. Thank you for any advise you maybe able to offer

Hi @westfieldmason , You may have to remove the passenger side door panel and check if there is power getting to the window regulator motor when you operate the switch and if there is perhaps the motor is faulty. If there is no power at the motor when a switch is operated then you may have to track the wiring back. For example, it could be a broken wire in the wiring harness that can be seen (although it is usually concealed in a rubber sleeve) as it passes between the body of the car and the door. Because of the constant opening and closing over time sometimes a wire can fracture here Here’s a video that shows how to access the window regulator motor in your vehicle. I realize that your problem is the passenger side window and not the driver side but at least it gives an idea of what to expect. Here’s the service repair manual for your vehicle. The Doors link shows how to disassemble the doors and the Power Windows link details how to test the window regulators and also has the circuit diagrams for the window regulators. Hopefully this may be of some help.
