Hi, For a few times now, I’ve had part of the backlight of my ultrawide LG 34UC98G go off, which turns part of the screen darker, in two places. I’ve tried to open the display to try and check what might be wrong, but so far I haven’t even been able to remove the back of the screen. There’s almost nothing visible that would hold everything together, so I’m assuming they are somehow located farther from the border of the screen. I also tried looking for service/repair manuals for this screen, but couldn’t find anything so far. Anyone has an idea on how to approach this one? Thanks!

Hi Fred, As you said, there is no specific manual/guide to disassembly your display, but you can proceed via LG 34UM95C-P / 34UM95-P / 31MU97-B disassembly. The principle of the disassembly is the same, it’s different only in the placing/connectors and some negligible parts. Proceed with maximal caution!! Your disassembly can be first and also last! If the product is under the warranty, contact your dealer, or visit a local repair shop, in the other way, good luck and let me know how it’s going.
