Try unplugging it for five minutes to allow it to reset. Then when you plug it back in watch for any error codes.
After trying all that “unplugging and re-plugging” and pushing “End of Cycle” button, as well as all the other buttons, my Whirlpool Duet Washer, Model WFW9600TW01, still displays the “red light” underneath the Controls Lock/Unlock button on this front load machine. With the machine in the “Controls Lock” mode, it will not ‘power on’ and operate. Solution: Replace the user left-most, user interface, circuit board! For my washer, Whirlpool no longer makes the user interface, parts (nor replacement parts), so good luck getting a refurbished board? You can always get your original, circuit board rebuilt.
