Chosen Solution I replaced the battery on a 5s. Everything else appears ok but I can’t use bluetooth on phone calls This problem is happening with a Plantronics M55 and also with a car bluetooth, so pretty sure it cannot be the bluetooth devices. If I’m on the Plantronics, I’ll hear a beep when calling. But when the call connects don;t hear anything and the other party can’t hear me. It plays music or other audio fine - appears to only be related to calls....

Chosen Solution A customer brought the device to me saying it needed a battery. Device showed no signs of life. I replaced the battery. The logic board heated up but no picture. Also, i did this repair without removing the front panel assembly. I would suggest disconnecting the front panel assembly while replacing the battery. Then try booting your device up with the new battery. If it does not turn on or show signs of functionality, I would look into replacing the logic board....

Did this include all those shown in the flowchart as perhaps some may not look like a fuse and you would have to look at their designation to know?...

While configuring the equipment to my liking, the GBoard stopped responding, the system locked me out and I can no longer insert the unlocking PIN. I’ve already tried the the basic approach - reboot - and the system remains with the same problem. Hard reset is not available, for some reason I ignore; the option is simply not listed. Chosen Solution Turns off when power cable disconnected even with battery fully charged. Intermittent problem. Happens for a few months then ok for a few months then cycle repeats. Hi, If it runs OK all the time on the charger but only intermittently OK when on the battery only, I’d suspect that there is a problem with the battery or the battery connection to the systemboard. I have worked on several, but I have been fighting the removal of the screen for 20 mins or more. Videos here make it look easy. Ha. They are all too big! @deirdremoylan without actually seeing it or knowing the size of it I would recommend a really good tool kit something like this Mako Driver Kit - 64 Precision Bits or even this one Manta Driver Kit - 112 Bit Driver Kit With those kits you will always have the right tool for any repair....
