Chosen Solution My on and off switch will not work at all the battery might be dead, try charging it. You should get a tactile switch click when you push it. If not, there is the issue. If there is no tactile click and the switch itself feels “mushy”, then the likely issue is the switch button finger has slipped underneath the switch. It is a simple, but fiddly repair. take the battery out, remove the black cover underneath the battery....

If its only the plastic bit, it can be fixed but Surface RT isnt the easiest to work on. The color variation might be the white balance, film is usually balanced to daylight or tungsten, so if you shot with tungsten film midday they would be blue, if you shot with daylight film indoors in the evening they would be red/magenta/purple.

Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in my 38mm series 1, when I first started charging it I immediately saw the Apple logo but it just sat there. I force restarted it a few times and now it just shows a thermometer with a clock anytime I plug it in. Doesn’t matter how long I wait before I plug it in and it immediately shows the thermometer icon. I glued the screen down when I saw the Apple logo show up so hopefully I don’t end up having to take it apart again....
Chosen Solution I have replaced my front digitizer per all instructions and even some advanced research and everything looks to be perfect, triple checked connections and adhesives. If I close the screen almost to the point of being fully secure the bezel everything works fine, full functionality. As soon as I apply pressure to panel to be fully secured with ipad bezel, it will continually function as if something is applying pressure to the front side of the screen as if someone is continually typing but they are not and it will just continue making the ipad unusable....

So in theory any M.2 NVMe SSD should work as long as the pins match. According to this link (see 7th post down) you need to check and most probably replace the fuse (slow blow 3.15A) next to the power input connector on the power board and the KBU606 rectifier - 600V 6A on the AC side of the power board, (it is the only one there)....
