Chosen Solution Hi there so recently my MacBook Pro 2012’s power button stopped working basically no matter how much I press on it has no response and it is quite frustrating to have to remove the battery connection and then connect charger to turn it on. If I accidentally shut it down. I have seen people fixing this problem by tearing down the keyboard and replacing with new components. As I’m on a tight budget and don’t want to deal with tearing apart my laptop is there a software solution when I can assign any key on the keyboard to act as the power button?...

Chosen Solution A thunderstorm blew the base to my cordless phone system. I’m convinced that the surge came through the telephone line as the VTech base was the only device to sustain damage even though there were other devices plugged into the same surge suppressor. I’ve purchased a new base set (they come with three handsets), and I’ve replaced the old surge suppressor with one that has a telephone In/Out to prevent something like this from happening again, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to pair my old handsets to the new base....

I have a big problem. iPhone not working proximity sensor … the problem is not the sensor I tried to mount other 3 display (disassembled by original phones) but it doesn’t work … This phone had already been removed by someone. What could be??? After you installed the new prox sensors did you soft reset the device and then test? If you did that with all three with no luck then it may be the connector on the motherboard which would not be worth replacing....

Chosen Solution I used to have a polaroid 600 and it never let me down, last week I bought a new polaroid on ebay, the one step sx-70 rainbow and I was just waiting for the film to arrive so I could start taking pictures, I took my first one last night with flash and then I went to bed, so when I woke up my photo would be ready. I kept it in the dark and the temperature wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold either, the conditions to the development was completely right....

Chosen Solution i plug in a new charger in my samsung talbet galaxy it wont fit so i tried to showed it in then the screen went black and wont charge. Chosen Solution Well, I remember having some troubles with my password in the past where it wouldn’t let me unlock it even though I knew the password. This was just a few minutes after I had been using it and my phone never left my hands, so it’s not like anyone changed it to mess with me. In the end, I think I was able to say I forgot my password or something like that, and afterwards it removed my password and I was able to use my phone again....

(Pro tip: Punctuation and grammar helps.) You say “three items” so I’m guessing (a) the part of the case that’s behind the screen, (b) the palmrest part where the keyboard is mounted, and (c) the bottom of the case where the rubber feet are mounted....

Chosen Solution Due to water damage I had to replace my LCD block, since then everything works fine but the proximity sensor. As a result, my screen turns black as soon as I make a phone call and I have no way to terminate the call (I now have enable the use power button to end call under the accessibility settings). With the AndroSensor app, I can see that the proximity sensor reports 0 cm all the time....

Chosen Solution Small spill, shortly after, backlight died for good. Apple says it needs a new logic board. Inverter board sounds more likely to me, but I can’t even find reference to one in this machine. Is it built into the log board? It is built into the display. Unfortunately, a liquid spill is most likely to damage the logic board. One way to check is to remove the upper case and look for corrosion on the board, especially near the keyboard and speaker area....

Thanks. the screw is a Torx screw and may be the security type if that is a pin in the center. Typically, wireless headphones have all the electronics on the right side with the controls....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a set of Nuheara IQbuds and the right ear has stopped charging. Please can someone advise how to maybe replace the battery in it? Thanks for any advice given. Same problem here - left bud has anybody taken one apart to try and replace the battery? and know what battery is inside the buds? I had the same problem and found that the rubber had started to slighly come away from the main body, it wasnt that notiocable but this lifted the ear bud just of the charger contacts, to reolve place a piece of card on the ear bud and when the charger lid closes if works again - this only works until more rubber lifts....

I dissembled the PC and dusted it out, after which there was no more noise, but it was still not booting. After a search online I found an option that let me boot the PC - but I had to remove my GPU (Nvidia Geforce 970) and plug in monitor into motherboard (since it also has integrated graphics)....
