Chosen Solution While starting the laptop by pressing the power button, the speakers make terrible noise. And then the browser gets froze, the start button also gets froze, cant shut down the computer. Have to press the power button, which then the start button works for few minutes and gets froze again. Reinstalled the OS, still has the same problem. Tried to shut down the speaker. Then there was another problem, on power button, it went to windows boot manager, asking which OS want to use, though I have only one OS, and one hard drive, therefor on my computer, right click, went to properties, advance settings and had to make changes....

Chosen Solution My ativ book 500t is chargable and when i press the on button, the blue light next to te senser blinks and the power indicator turnson but the screen is black what is wrong with my tablet? Just to be sure it is not the backlight, power it on as you usually would and shine a bright flashlight onto the screen and see if you can make out anything on the screen....

They don’t have a “code” and it’s hard to find these parts individually online, but you can harvest them off a broken switch motherboard for relatively cheap.

Chosen Solution Hi, I have an LG55UJ634V tv that had a blank screen. All that came on was the red standby light that blinked 3 times. I have replaces the main board and now the screen powers up but no picture or menu display appear. The screen is on but blank. Any suggestions would be welcome. @johnnystorm measure the voltages from the power board to the main board and let us know what those voltages show....

Chosen Solution A new HP 15-ef1020nr, I installed Linux cinnamon and now it will not show networks and I cant figure out how to turn that on. Hi @dodge6 , I don’t know much about Linux but maybe check the solution in post #80 and see if that helps. I think that your model uses the Realtek RTL8xxx series WiFi. Also check in BIOS > Advanced (I think) to see if there is a Wireless LAN enable/disable setting and check that the WiFi is not disabled for some reason

Chosen Solution I have an 8+, when powered off and plugging in cable, it powers on, but its not charging, when I remove and reinsert the cable it then charges. Only on boot does it not charge. So if device is dead and I plug it in it will get enough charge to power on, when it boots it is no longer charging, I must reinsert the cable to proceed charging Tried a new battery, port & cable, did not resolve the issue...

Chosen Solution Hi I have this Macbook and it does not charge when it is on. When it is off it charges, but any attempt to turn it on does not work. Chosen Solution One of my USB ports doesn’t work. It’s not the one on the side with the MagSafe, it’s the oppose side. Are both USB ports connected to the I/O board? Each USB port has its own connection to the main logic board. A common cause for one port to fail is someone used the wrong power unit for a USB device. So what happens the USB power driver TI current limited power distribution switch chip gets burnt from the over voltage....

Chosen Solution GE Washer GTW460ASJ0WW When I start a normal cycle the washer runs normally until it gets to drain and spin part of the cycle. It makes a low ‘hum’ noise and eventually stops. If I unplug the washer for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, leave the lid open the washer drains on its own after about an hour (I think, could be hours). So the pump seems to work but its refusing to work properly during normal operation....

TV’s do not use a great audio IC’s and they do fail. So, this could be a main board issue. That is where most TV’s have the audio amp IC....
