Check if the charging port is dirty, a drop of WD-40 and a needle can clean it. The charging pin may be damaged and may need to be replaced.

Chosen Solution I ordered a “new” battery and followed the instructions of not charging it until the level had dropped below 10%, then fully recharging. Now the battery uses the charge even faster than the battery that it replaced. There are 3 possible reasons for this: 1.) The new battery is defective 2.) The new batter has a lower mAh rating, thus lower capacity. The original battery should have been a 2100 mAh capacity, compare that to the replacement....

Chosen Solution After the screen randomly cut out while powered on, only leaving the backlight on during use, I have not been able to get any picture since. As far as I’m concerned there has been no severe water damage to this computer. However living in a humid environment may be the cause of some corrosion but from the looks of it there is no corrosion on the board.
