In the meantime I’d consider trying to find someone to possibly repair the board. I am sure you have the schematic as well as the board layout so it should be possible to get it fixed.

Your only option is brute force, running through all of the likely code sets and hoping. If you just want to reformat the hard-drive (losing all the data) and re-install a fresh copy of MacOS you might be able to achieve this by putting it into DFU mode, depending on what machine it is....

Chosen Solution So, I have an iPhone 7 here. it did not charge at all, also clean of gunk, so I changed the lightningport and battery.. no charging. tried a new one, no charging, tried new battery still nothing. charging ic? Definitely a board level issue. It could be the charging IC or another chip.

Camera did not get wet or dropped. Thank you for any advice. How sure are you about the batteries? Cameras that use AA’s often are very picky they MUST all 4 MUST be atleast 1.5V if one is 1.3 most wont turn on....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced the display on my MacBook Pro after it having cracked. After the replacement I have no more auto brightness and the True Tone option is now gone. In System Profiler under Displays, it shows as a built-in Retina display and Auto Brightness says “No”. I’m not sure how Macs will behave, but judging by Apple’s recent repair policies, this is normal. Screen repair needs to be Christened by Apple to retain these features, even if you take two brand new Macs purchased from Apple Store and swap the screens....

Also bought new cable just in case, but it does not charge and no diplay at all, it is blank screen try putting it in the charger, and holding its power button for 8-10 seconds (I believe the button on the left) and see if a display appears. Chosen Solution After replacing screen and battery on iPhone 6 when device reassembled it is not recognising SIM card, I have tried restarting and airplane mode Might be a pain but when things like this happen to me after completing a repair. I start again, disassemble and carefully reassemble making sure all connectors are secure. 9/10 times it’s just something hasn’t been seated correctly. Try disassembling and re-assembling. As time consuming as it is, it helps you narrow down the issue by removing the ‘something isn’t connected right’ option....

Chosen Solution Hi, just got a 2015 Nvidia shield P2571 as I thought they were the better model, used it once and now it wont power on at all. Tried everything I can think of, different sockets, TV but nothing. Spoke with Nvidia support and they are not bothered due to its age (and the fact its not new), they have said ‘it must have gone bad’…….. Not sure what that means but really, after 1 hours use?...

Chosen Solution I do not remember exactly, if it has started doing that after I have dropped it to the tough surface or before. However, phone restarting or freezes whenever it wants. Mostly when phone getting charged, it is next to me (no matter if it charges wireless or wired) and I observed it restarting or freezing more frequently when it is charging. Freezing in this instance means that screen goes black, as if it would be turned off and phone does not respond to any button or screen commands....
