We really need to know what you did so we can follow up with what you already have tried. The laser assembly of your drive actually has multiple lasers for the different types of disks. If it plays one type but not the other it is most likely a bad laser assembly in your drive....

Chosen Solution I just installed a new battery received from IFIXIT and it’s shutting off (it seems that way) without any warning at around 14% and all work in progress gets lost. I tried everything including SMC and PRAM reset but the macbook stopped going into hibernation mode.. and gives no battery low warning… Is this battery fine or am i missing something? Everything worked fine after setting aside near some strong air, but the power port has difficulty with the charger. If I simply connect the charger, it may work on a rare occasion, but normally I have to turn or flip the cable so the laptop can start charging....

Here’s a link to the owner’s manual for the laptop. Scroll to p.47 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the CPU. You are lucky that it is a removable CPU as in most laptop’s these days the CPU is hard mounted on the systemboard....

Chosen Solution I have a iPhone 6 and my screen does not want to slide open. I bought a new screen because I thought it was the screen but the brand new screen also does not work. I can reset or anything what’s wrong with my phone? it sounds like it could be the TouchIC chip, Ill leave a link to a picture of it, a way to find out if it is the TouchIC chip is by putting pressure, it makes the connection with solder points, so if when you put pressure, thats the problem....
Chosen Solution My screen will not work no matter what. Before you ask, yes, I’ve tried doing a hard reset. When I plug it in, it makes the charging noise. Is there anything I can do? yerbamate since you already tried everything you can via reset etc. (it does get recognized in iTunes the issue maybe your screen. Consider replacing it and while you are doing so you may need to check the logic board components, connectors and cables....
